The idea here is that regular "new content" blogging, ranks highly with Google.  These links and comments will over a period of time generate a constant flow of traffic to your website.  There are many different ideas on how to do this.  You are the best judge of what you do.  You have a current idea or pulse of your business.  Simple comments like I'm writing here to you, is what you need to do on a daily basis or multiple times per day, to start indexing traffic to your site.   Of course your messages need to be specific and relevant to your company, product and should include keywords about ideas, concepts, of the types of target market (people) you are wanting to attract.
